1. I am comparing bids and notice that some are very high and some are low, why is that?
The cost of a job is determined by the level of thoroughness, attention to detail, and quality of materials to be used. For example, it costs more to properly prepare a surface for painting than to give it the “quick once over.” We would be happy to review, in detail, our calculations for your project so you can make a fair comparison with other bids.
2. The last painter we used stayed on the job for a few days then was gone for a few days. Will you stay on the job until it’s complete?
Yes. We’ll stay with the project and work continually until your project is complete. However, this differs for exterior work since weather dictates when we can work.
3. Do you carry insurance and workers comp?
Yes, we are fully licensed and insured and our insurance includes general liability and workers’ compensation. If you would like to receive a copy of insurance please ask.
4. What do I need to do to prepare for the painters arrival?
Steel Blue Painting provides our clients with a detailed “to-do list” to prepare for our arrival. We come prepared to help move furniture and remove switch plates. Upon completion of the project, we will replace the items we moved back to where we found them.
